Splashing Out In Style (Fine Food Digest)

A nice little article about Righteous appears in the ‘Sauces and Dressings’ product update in April’s edition of Fine Food Digest – a specialty food and drink magazine, published by the renowned Guild of Fine Foods. We are understandably ecstatic as this is our very first feature in the press!

In the feature, Mick Whitworth seems particularly interested in how we started and the fact that we were immediately picked up by a few of London’s top food retailers.

For those of you interested to read it, I’ve transcribed the article here:
“Former Unilever marketeer Gem Misa says she worked closely with buyers in leading food halls before launching her new ‘Righteous All Natural’ range of salad dressings. The products – in ginger & toasted sesame, raspberry & sweet basil and lemon and mustard seed variants – went straight into Harrods, Selfridges & Co, Harvey Nichols, Whole Foods Market and Fresh & Wild at the start of this year.
“I know it’s a completely new range, but the key to getting in the door with these retailers was that we co-developed the products with them,” says Misa, adding that buyers wanted products that are “big on taste but also offer a string of health benefits”.
Earlier in her career Misa launched the first fresh salad and health food delivery service in the Philippines, and her first UK venture was a fresh gourmet salad business, The New Leaf Salad Company. The dressings, originally developed for inclusion in portion-packs with these salads have now become the main focus.”
